Peter Amewu may have been injuncted by the Ho high court from holding himself as MP elect for the Hohoe constituency but not from dancing. And while the Attorney General expedites moves to quash the decision of the high court, the 50-year-old native of Hohoe and Ghana’s energy Minister over the weekend took to the dance floor in the dance of his lifetime. This was a celebratory atmosphere following his epic victory in the December 7 parliamentary elections.

Mr Amewu for the first time in the history of the New Patriotic Party won the Hohoe seat by over 3000 votes, a seat that has traditionally been won by the NDC. A host of activities were organized as part of the victory to thank God and also thank the people of Hohoe for reposing such confidence in him. The event was climaxed by a concert on Monday which was headlined by dance hall artiste Shatta Wale

Thousands of people from Hohoe and surrounding communities thronged the Hohoe community park to catch a glimpse of Shatta Wale. The over two hour performance by the Dance Hall King threw the grounds into a state of frenzy as he performed notable songs like freedom, Melisa,My Level, the prophecy, them confuse and other notable songs but what thrilled many fans was that moment when Peter Amewu and Shatta Wale showed off their dancing skills in an attempt to woe a lady. The scene got many excited and in shock as they had never seen the former DCE display such talent. Others laughed as they felt the Minister was only dancing off beat. Well you can also judge for yourselves.
