Breaking : Two Ghanaian Doctors and Nurses arrested for allegedly selling babies for 30,000 cedis
Two Doctors with the 37 Military Hospital and the Greater Accra Regional Hospital have been picked up by the Economic and Organized Crimes Office for their alleged role in the sale of babies.
The two Dr. Hope Mensah Quarshie of the 37 Military Hospital and Dr. Noah Kofi Lartey of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital were both picked up in a joint effort by EOCO and the Medical and Dental Council. The former who was picked up at his private hospital, Susan Clinic is alleged to have sold the first baby boy for 30,000 cedis while the latter who also runs a private Clinic was also picked up in a separate operation.
Others arrested include the mother of the second baby as well as some nurses of the various hospitals. See below a joint statement by EOCO and the Medical and Dental Council
