Damsel Foundation Demands Immediate Dismissal Of Presidential Staffer Over Alleged Abusive Sexual Comments
There is pressure on the government to dismiss one of its Presidential Staffers, Nana Hesse Ogyiri over alleged abusive sexual comments. The NPP member reportedly made the comments about Farida Mahama, the daughter of former President John Mahama who celebrated her 14th birthday yesterday.
Executive Director of the Damsel Foundation, Beatrice Annangfio said his comments amount to child abuse and are in clear contravention of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children’s Act. The organization has also hinted at its intentions to lodge a formal complaint to the Chief of Staff, Frema Opare. The group expressed its disgust at what it describes as the shameful conduct of Mr. Ogyir, which they say is unbecoming of a Presidential Staffer.
