Ghana’s Kevin Okyere has won the distinguished Individual Contribution to the African Oil Industry Award. Announcing this years winners on their website Frontier Energy said ” We are thrilled to announce the winners of the Big Five Board Awards 2020 ”.

Nominations for the awards took place in the lead-up to the Africa E&P Virtual Summit and voting for each category winner took place via interactive polls within the event itself.

The previous winner of Africa’s Oil Legend Award, Patrick Pouyanné, presented the awards to each of this year’s winners and handed over the legendary Patrick Mavros baton to its new holder for the next year.

Springfield Exploration and Production (SEP) Limited and its Partners, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) and GNPC EXPLORCO, last year announced significant oil discovery following its maiden Afina-1 well drilling campaign in the West Cape Three Points (WCTP) Block 2, offshore Ghana.

In an interview with ,after the awards, Kevin Okyere said he dedicates the award to all those who dare to dream.” We have a lot of African youth who are really talented but more often they tend to stay away from pursuing their dreams.” Kevin said
