The National Democratic Congress says it has initiated processes to address challenges facing the causes leadership and backbench in Parliament following the approval of nominees for a number of ministerial positions. The Party is baffled by the fact that despite the outright rejection and disapproval of some nominees by the minority, they managed to sail through after securing the votes of majority MP’s including NDC MP’s. This development prompted a ferocious attack on minority leader Haruna Iddrisu, Chief Whip, Muntaka Mubarak and Speaker, Alban Bagbin by Communications officer of the party, Sammy Gyemfi.

Mr. Gyemfi had criticized the party’s parliamentary leadership for defying the party leadership and betraying the collective good for their selfish and parochial interest. But in a letter released after a meeting of the party’s functional Executive Committee yesterday, Director of communication of the party, Kakra Essamuah said the party has initiated a consultation process with the Council of Elders to deal with the matter.
